A Rough and Tumble Daytime Walk in the James Bay Hood
Hey… here’s where I live. Sucks to be me, I know, but someone has to do it.

You know, I was just thinking about you… and we should go for an early night walk, don’t you agree?

Jacqui,
While my baby is sleeping, I am thinking about how beautiful YOU are.
Your thoughts, heart, spirit, feelings, and all the things that make you you.
And to visualize that, to picture that, I see your head on the pillow wearing your flannel PJs, your arm somewhere… now can you understand why I thought that photo of you lying on your bed is impossibly beautiful?

Jacqui gave me an awesome digital camera, but even though it seemed to work great, I couldn’t get my computer to “see” it when I plugged it in by USB, so I couldn’t upload the pictures.
After a couple days of puzzling over it trying to figure it out and even contacting the company to inquire about getting an RMA (Return Material Authorization) form, the young salesman at a local computer store showed me how to fix it… by pushing the USB cable all the way into the camera to complete the connection.

When Jacqui Bear is in an emotional state it’s wonderful to be there for her for a bit if only to make her laugh or, better, laugh at her.
But on nights like yesterday when I’m downcast (doesn’t happen often) it’s so very great to have a woman who wants to make you feel better and even though she initially feels as though she has failed, has with time succeeded far more than she knows.

Jacqui gave me this:

Now, I’m eagerly waiting its arrival….
In other news, yesterday was filled with minor vexations, yet great and simple joys… Jacqui was hot, beautiful, warm, loving, funny, and silly — everything I love about her.
I heard from an old friend, Nicole, who will also give birth soon and that’s exciting.
My friend, Wendy, from Washington state, USA invited me down to see her and her family this weekend; they even have free tickets to a fair.
I received a letter from my last employer (on a temporary contract) in regards to a job competition telling me I am the #1 candidate on their waiting list.
My sister’s new baby, Angel-Jazdell is healthy, and everyone appears to be happy and doing well.
And yes, ordering computer parts from local stores and expecting them to accurately describe their stock with the aid of the clearest questions imaginable (”I need one that’s no more than 15 1/2 inches wide, not the usual 18 inches — you’re measuring it now? How wide is it? 15 1/2 inches? Good, I’ll be right over.” Real answer: 18 inches. “Do the keys light up? Yes?” Real answer: No.), in order to save you endless frustration and repeated unnecessary trips, is a problem.
But on balance, God has blessed me with challenges, for sure, and enough gorgeous colour in my life to make it all worthwhile with reason to strive toward the future.

Hey all,
I just received a phone call from my mom telling me that my sister is in labour.
I’m excited — my extended family is about to increase by one!
My sister keeps healthy and fit so I’m not too concerned (okay, that’s a lie; I’m a man and I’m very concerned!), but please join me one and all and send my sis, Phoenix, and her baby your best wishes and your prayers.
Thank you.
UPDATE: It’s a girl.
UPPERDATE: Her name is Angel-Jazdell.
