More Reasons Why You’d BETTER Be Nice to Me, Honey

Want a healthy heart? Be nice to your spouse
Research links happy marriage to long life

Everyone knows the drill for a strong heart: Don’t smoke. Exercise. Eat healthy foods. Now comes a new warning: Be nice to your spouse.

A new study based on 150 healthy, older married couples found that women who are hostile toward their husbands during disagreements are more likely to have hardening of their coronary arteries.

For men, being controlling — or being married to someone who is — promotes atherosclerosis.

And don’t nag!

So, for example, when you call me later today, don’t beg me over and over again to open the huge letter from you that the postman just hand-delivered to me. You understand how patient I am and out of respect for you (since you might just “nag” me about this anyway if I didn’t!) I am waiting for you to be there with me while I open it.

Hi Chris. Hopefully you don’t end up like the Grizzly Man documentary where your bear ends up mauling you despite all the love you’ve shown it.

Just read through most of your entries and wanted to you to know that I wish you the best of luck in getting to Australia. I have always wanted to vacation/live where you do. What is the best part about living where you do? What don’t you like?

Gee, I get asked this a lot, Tim. Fortunately, the answer’s very easy.

What I like most is the ocean (it’s so beautiful here on Vancouver Island off of BC’s coast — if I ever get my new camera working, you’ll get a chance to see this!) and what I don’t like is that Jacqui isn’t here.

Where are you from? Tell me about it….

so just in case Tim was talking about Australia let me put my 2 cents worth in.

Australia is awesome, yea I can say that because i live here and therefore this is a bias answer, but truely it is. It’s amazing. I am truely blessed to live here. I live basically 20 mins from most things — the beach, good shopping centres, the city centre and the hills and country its great. People are nice enough and i really could not find many flaws.

If you want to know more just drop me a line and i can convince you, as im trying to Chris, about the many MANY advantages of living here.

Hi Tim… it took a little under three quarters of a year.

From January 7 – April 3, 2007, Jacqui and I had an awesome time in Perth. You were kind enough to read most of my blog entries in 2006 and I wanted to get back to you and let you know we finally met in person.

I want to go back very much.

What don’t I like? About Bear… very little.

Perth where she lives is pretty nice. If anything, I like my area slightly better, but Perth plus Jacqui is better than Victoria, British Columbia on its own. In fact, Jacqui plus Iowa is better. Ha ha. Kidding.
